Yesterday in Wroclaw took place the closing ceremony of the X edition of "The World Games" or Non-Olympic Games. 3500 athletes from over 100 countries took part in the events that lasted until 20-30 July 2017. During the Games, 31 disciplines were presented, which in the future have a chance to become part of the disciplines included in the Olympic Games. In 2021 "The World Games" will be held in Birmingham, USA.
On 5-8 August Szczecin will be the sailing capital of Europe. The world's largest sailing ships will complete a grueling Baltic race to Szczecin to celebrate the grand finale of The Tall Ships Races 2017 together with the locals and tourists. The double sails in 2009 and 2013 proved to be an organizational success. This year's special musical star will be Andrea Bocelli. In addition to all the fans, there is a surprise: the biggest fireworks festival in Poland.
Between August 24 and September 3, the European Men's Volleyball Championship will be held in Poland. This will be the XXX edition of the European Championship. The match will be held in 5 cities: Warsaw, Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków and Szczecin. The tournament will feature 16 teams: Poland, France, Slovenia, Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, Serbia, Germany, Finland, Belgium, Slovakia, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Turkey, Spain and Estonia. The opening match will take place at the National Stadium in Warsaw, which will see more than 50,000 fans.
On 4-6 August, the Nyskie Lake will host the 8th edition of one of the biggest music festivals in Poland - Audiolake. 20 artists from Poland and Europe, 2 scenes, nearly 40,000 fans, 3 days of club music, one of the biggest hardwood parquet on the beach in europe, food truck festival, art workshops.
On August 3-5, the 23rd edition of the Woodstock Festival will be held in Kostrzyn on the Odra. Concerts of world stars take place on 4 stages. This year, one of the biggest summer festivals in Europe will be hosting such bands as "Wilki", "Hey", "Trivium", "The Kyle Gass Band", "House of Pain" and Many others.
